Handler got her big break in 2006, when she started producing her own TV show on E! called The Chelsea Handler show. The Chelsea Handler Show lasted for two seasons. Following the show, Handler performed on the Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour in the United States. Stand-up performance by Handler has been shown on VH1 along with Comedy Central's Premium Blend and HBO. It was announced in 2010 that she will be hosting the MTV Video Music Awards 2010. She became only the second woman ever to host the VMAs in the same way as Roseanne Bar.
